Martyrs' Day

Martyrs' Day is celebrated on June 3rd and recognizes 22 young men who were killed for professing Christianity. These young men were killed by King Mwanga II of Buganda kingdom in 1886. Sometimes Catholics with travel to the town of Namugongo to celebrate Martyrs' Day since Namugongo is the location where the young men were killed.
