Heroes' Day

June 9 is celebrated by Ugandan's as Heroes' Day. Heroes' Day in Uganda is a day designated to remember those who gave their lives for Uganda. Recently, not only war heroes have been recognized, but medical heroes also! Many Ugandans want to honor all those who gave their lives for Ugandan's future to be better.
