Happy Birthday Shairah!

Shairah turned 5 on September 4th! We would like to wish her a very happy 5th birthday!

Shariah was born deaf and she is currently both deaf and nonverbal. She lives with both of her parents. Shariah has not started school nor has she learned sign language since she lives in a rural area. She enjoys playing games with her friends. And in her home, Shariah helps her parents in the garden and doing house chores.

Biblical Instruction

We at SNH value each child in our program receiving Biblical instruction. Currently, all the children who are able to walk to church attend each Sunday. These children are able to see each other and their families as well as attend Sunday School and hear preaching.

Additionally, we desire for the children served by SNH to have instruction through the SNH ministry. Our desire is for this to happen weekly, but since Sherinah has a demanding school schedule, the children in SNH will meet once a month until Sherinah graduates. Upon Sherinah's graduation, it will become our top priority to see that each child receives Bible lessons once a week.

We hope to share more photos with you in the future of our kids receiving their monthly Bible class via SNH staff. Unfortunately, due to only one member of the ministry having a camera, it may take us a while to provide these photos. But rest assured that they children are still meeting once a month, even if the staff of SNH is unable to photograph the event.

Catherine's Wheelchair

Happy Birthday Brevis!

We would like to wish Brevis a very happy 8th birthday!

Brevis was born normal, but lost his hearing due to an unknown illness. Brevis lives with his mother, who is a peasant farmer. Brevis is currently in primary 4, but due to lack of funds, Brevis may have to quit school. Brevis enjoys Sunday School and playing soccer, despite hearing loss. He helps his mother by gardening, fetching water and firewood, and cleaning the compound.

Happy Birthday Sandrah!

We would like to wish Sandrah a very happy 5th birthday!

Sandrah was born normal but at 4 days old she became sick with a high fever. The fever left her physically disabled. Sandrah is unable to talk or move, but she is able to hear. Sandrah lives with both her parents who work as peasant farmers. She is not currently attending school.

Happy Birthday Phionah!

We would like to wish Phionah a very happy 13th birthday!

Phionah was born normal but became ill and was left with impaired hearing. Phionah lives with her parents who are both peasant farmers. She attends Sunday School and is in primary 5 where her performance is below average due to lack of special needs education. Phionah loves Sunday School and she helps in her home by gardening, helping in the kitchen and fetching firewood and water.
