Catherine was born normal and grew up as a normal child until 2008 when she was affected by an unknown disease leaving her physically disabled. Catherine has been at home since 2008; her mobility is nothing, which requires her to be lifted anywhere she goes, even at home. Before the occurrence of this unknown disease, Catherine was a good student and her report was always average. Catherine is born again and she is a strong Christian who knows how to share the word of God with other children who come visit her home.

Harriet lives with her mother who looks after her and is a peasant. She was born disabled and with low standard growth. She is in senior two and her performance is average. At home, Harriet helps her mother in the garden, fetching water and gathering firewood. She cleans the compound and she loves helping her mother in all areas wherever possible. She is a well behaved girl and a mature Christian who leads Sunday School at her church and helps to guide other children in spiritual areas. 

Ivan

Ivan was born normal until 6 months of age when he became sick with a high fever which resulted into physical disability. Ivan is able to hear but he does not speak, has a mental disability, and is unable to move on his own. Ivan lives with his grandmother since he was abandoned by his parents at age 2. Ivan's grandmother often takes him to church to be prayed for. 



Sarah

Sarah was born deaf and nonverbal and she lives with both of her parents. Sarah is attending primary 4 and her performance is below average because she has no special needs education. Sarah loves Sunday School and enjoys participating in church activities despite her hearing loss. She also helps in her home by gardening, fetching water and firewood, and helping in the kitchen.



David

David was born normal but lost his hearing after a becoming ill with a high fever. David lives with his mother who is a peasant. David is attending primary 4 and his performance is below average because there are no sign language services in his class. David is very sociable and is loved by his friends. At home, David helps by fetching water and firewood, cleaning the house and compound, and gardening. 





Phionah

Phionah was born normal but became ill and she was left with impaired hearing. Phionah lives with her parents who are both peasant farmers. She attends school and is in primary 5 where her performance is below average due to lack of special needs education. Phionah loves Sunday School and she helps in her home by gardening, helping in the kitchen and fetching firewood and water.

Julian lived a normal life until age 5 when he was affected by an unknown illness resulting in a loss of vision and hearing. Julian lives with his parents; his mother is a primary school teacher and his father is a peasant farmer. Julian is attending school and is in primary 6, where his performance is average despite his impaired vision and hearing. Julian loves Sunday School and has many friends. In his home, he helps by gardening, fetching firewood and cleaning the compound.

Sylvia was born deaf. She lives with her father and older sisters. She is currently in school and in primary 3 where her performance is below average due to the lack of special needs resources. Dorcas

Dorcas was born disabled; her fingers and toes are joined together, she has a mental illness and she is unable to speak properly. Dorcas' parents left her in the care of her grandmother because of her disabilities. Dorcas is attending school and is in primary 4. Her class performance is poor due to the lack of fund to send her to a special needs school. Dorcas enjoys Sunday School and she helps her grandmother by fetching water and firewood and helping in the kitchen.

At home, she helps her parents with house chores like fetching water, cleaning the house and compound, and helps her mother to look after her youngest sister, Gloria, who is also disabled.

Brevis is currently in primary 4, but due to lack of funds, Brevis may have to quit school in the future. Brevis enjoys Sunday School and playing soccer, despite hearing loss. He helps his mother by gardening, fetching water and firewood and cleaning the compound.

Alice is completely deaf. Shee lives with her father and her mother, who both work as farmers. She is in primary one and her performance is promising. Alice enjoys playing netball with friends and swinging on the rope. 








Lydia

Lydia was born normal, but became disabled after become sick at one-year-old. The sickness left Lydia unable to talk or move and she has to be lifted in order to move. Lydia's mother is raising Lydia on her own, as her father abandoned them after Lydia was disabled. Lydia's mother does not have a permanent job. And Lydia is currently unable to attend school due to her lack of mobility. 



Christine

Christine was born with impaired vision in both eyes. She lives with her grandmother, but does not attend school due to her grandmother's lack of finances. Christine enjoys attending Sunday School and she helps her grandmother by gardening, fetching firewood and water and cleaning the house and compound. 

Benjamin

Benjamin was born normal until he fell from a tree at age 4. The fall left Benjamin physically disabled, making it difficult to move. Due to join pain, Benjamin frequently misses school. When he is able to, Benjamin attends primary 4 where his performance is above average. He lives with his parents and his father works as a security guard. Due to his pain, Benjamin is unable to attend Sunday School, but he enjoys learning from the Bible from his parents. He helps in his home by fetching water and firewood and cleaning the house and compound. 



Juliet

Juliet was born normal but became deaf at age 2. Today, she is completely deaf and nonverbal. She lives with both her parents. Juliet attends school and is in primary 2, but her performance is below average due to lack of special needs education. Juliet enjoys Sunday School, but she doesn't enjoy the singing due to lack of hearing. Juliet helps in her home by cleaning the compound and fetching firewood and water. 

Madinah

Currently Marion is enrolled in nursery class where her performance is average, but her mother doesn't have finances to continue supporting Marion's education and Marion may need to quit school. Ruth was born normal but became sick when she was four-months-old. The sickness left her physically and mentally disabled. She cries frequently and the cause is unknown. Ruth lives with both her parents who work as peasant farmers. Ruth has not begun school since her parents are unable to afford the cost.

Rebecca was born as an albino and at her birth, people of the community advised her parents to throw her out. Thankfully her parents ignored the advice and chose to raise their child as a gift of God. She lives with both of her parents and her father is a security guard. Rebecca has not yet begun school but hopes to begin next year. In her home, Rebecca helps by cleaning the compound and house, cleaning utensils and fetching water.

Gloria lives with both of her parents who work as peasant farmers. Her mother is deaf and she was born disabled with Down Syndrome. Gloria's mother is helping her child through these challenges. She is a happy girl and she has learned how to greet her mother in sign language.

Shairah was born deaf and she is currently both deaf and nonverbal. She lives with both of her parents. Shairah has not started school yet nor has she learned sign language since she lives a rural area. She enjoys playing games with her friends. And in her home, Shairah helps her parents in the garden and doing house chores.

Evelyn was born normal but became mentally disabled at one-year-old due to an unknown cause. She lives with her grandmother and has not yet begun school.
