Happy Birthday David!

We would like to wish David a very happy 13th birthday!

David was born healthy but lost his hearing after becoming ill with a high fever. David lives with his mother, who is a peasant farmer. David is attending primary 4 and his performance is below average because there are no sign language services in his class. David is very sociable and is loved by his friends. At home, David helps by fetching water and firewood, cleaning the house and compound, and gardening.

Happy Birthday Sarah!

We would like to wish Sarah a very happy 13th birthday!

Sarah was born deaf and nonverbal and she lives with both of her parents. Sarah is attending primary 4 and her performance is below average due to lack of special needs education. Sarah loves Sunday School and enjoys participating in church activities despite her hearing loss. She also helps in her home by gardening, fetching water and firewood, and helping in the kitchen.

Happy Birthday Ruth!

Today Ruth is turning 5 years old! We would like to wish Ruth a very happy birthday!

Ruth was born normal but became sick when she was four months old. The sickness left her physically and mentally disabled. She cries frequently and the cause is unknown. Ruth lives with both her parents who work as peasant farmers. Ruth has not begun school since her parents are unable to afford the cost.

Happy Birthday Juliet!

Little Juliet just celebrated her 6th birthday on January 26th! Please join us in wishing Juliet a very happy birthday.

Juliet was born normal but became deaf at age 2. Today she is completely deaf and nonverbal. She lives with both her parents. Juliet attends school and is in primary 2, but her performance is below average due to lack of special needs education. Juliet enjoys Sunday School, but she doesn't enjoy the singing due to lack of hearing. Juliet helps in her home by cleaning the compound and fetching firewood and water.
